She was predeceased by: her parents, William Megill and Jeanne Megill; her husband Clifford E. Matthews Sr.; her son-in-law Herman Bedwell; and her grandson Doug Bigelow.
She is survived by: her children, Clifford E. "Kip" Matthews Jr. (Monica) of Centreville, MD, Kenneth W. Matthews (Laura) of Kennedyville, MD, Cherie L Bedwell (Tom) of Betterton, MD and Julie J. Bedwell of Still Pond, MD; and her sister Linda L. Graga of Farmingdale, NJ. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen (118 W Cross St, Galena, MD 21635). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
