She is survived by: her mother Ruth Walker-Chandler; her cousins, Marie Butler and Virginia Thompson; her children, Cheryl Saunders (James) of Big Woods, MD, Darlene Phillips-Fisher of Baltimore, MD, Diane Phillips of Wilmington, DE and Donald Phillips of Chestertown, MD; her goddaughter Carol Phillips-Thomas; her sisters, Joan Walker-Hunter (Cordell E. Hunter, Sr.) and Barbara Chandler-Dozier of New Castle; her daughters, Ernestine Hynson Knotts and Stephanie Lindsey; her close friends, Cynthia Oakley, Minervia Lively (Lucy) and Rosa Reed; and her cousins, Jacqueline Whye Sisco, Shirley Butler Hopkins, Lauretta Freeman, Dorothy Wilson, Thomas and Rosa Gross. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren.
