With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice L. Gilbert of Auburn, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Seaward and Leota Seaward (Denico); and her brothers, Ronald Seaward and Junior Seaward. She is survived by: her children, Vicky Catlett (Larry) of Leeds, Gregory Gilbert (Nancy) of Turner and Jeffrey Gilbert of Turner; her grandchildren, Gregory Gilbert, Jr. (Dawn), Ian Catlett, Skye Catlett, Holly Catlett, Jessica Smith (Gavin), Melissa Legare (Charles Skinner, Jr.), Dustin Gilbert, Lyndsey Day (Chad) and Ashley Golden; her great grandchildren, Kayleigh Gilbert, Ashton Dozois, Gibson Dozois, Simon Catlett Feldman, Ruth Alice Skinner, Charles Skinner III, Leighton Day and Samuel Day; her sister Luverne Plourde; and her sisters-in-law, Elaine Bonney, Pat Gilbert, Debbie Gilbert and Toddy Kilbreth.
