“I've been dreading this for a long time, as I saw his health declining. Gene was a very special person in my life. When I started working at the Auburn Recreation Department in 1985, he welcomed me with open arms, and became one of those people you can never forget. We loved to laugh together, but I couldn't tell you why. It would be too embarrassing! He was loved and will be missed. My condolences to Marlene and his wonderful, loving family. Jan Biron”
