With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stella Elmire Murphy (Auburn, Maine), born in Lewiston, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 19, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Labonte and Regina Labonte (Beaumont); her husband Robert Murphy; and her brother Jean-Paul (Eva). She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Mark Labonte (Lisa), Andre Labonte (Jennifer), Pauline Labonte, Joline Lindsley (Eric) and Anne Dramko (Joseph); and her stepchildren, Barbara Hutchinson, Dana Murphy (Karen), Paul Murphy and David Murphy (Mary). She is also survived by many grand nieces and nephews, as well as great-grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Masses may be offered for the repose of the soul of Stella at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul, 122 Ash Street Lewiston, Maine 04240.
