He was predeceased by: his parents, Egbert Smith and Estelle Smith (Markle); his wife Julia Smith; his siblings, Harris, Lee Smith, Bessie Bragg, Bertie Gilman, Clara Lachance and Carrie Berry; and his brother-in-law Curtis Berry (Gloria Sylvester).
He is survived by: his significant other Gloria Sylvester; his children, Linda Pomerleau of Manchester, Sheila Cotnoir of Augusta and Egbert Smith (Roxanne) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Jessica Pomerleau of Augusta, Sarah Hickey (William Ahearn, III) of So, Gardiner, Amanda Gilbert (Dana) of Chelsea, Michael Cotnoir (Robyn) of Hudson, MA, Emily Prosser (Kory) of Manchester, Chad LeClair (Alexandra) of Augusta and Staci Leclair of Bowdoin; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Ayden Hickey, Coleman, Rylee, Levi Gilbert, Giovanni, Lucas Cotnoir, Evelynn Julia Prosser, Kayley and Kayden LeClair; and his brother Ernie Smith of South China. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
