He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Caret and Malvina Caret (Bernier); and his brothers, Rodney Caret, Edmund Caret and John Caret.

He is survived by: his daughter Amy Crommett (Josh); his grandchildren, Jaxon and Avery Crommett; and his siblings, Thomas Caret, Judith Caret, Muriel Wooding and Juliette Hanson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
