He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon V. Arce and Balbina Villalobos (Guzman); his former wife Lucille Guzman (Williams); and his sisters, Leticia Valverde-Guzman and Socorro Butterfield (Guzman).

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Poulin-Guzman (Baril) of Oakland; his children, Jerry Guzman of Oakland and Rose Hale (Douglas) of Augusta; his stepchildren, Philip Poulin (Andrea) of Brandon, MS and Celeste Poulin of Randolph; his grandchildren, Scott, Richard Hale, Melanie Guzman and Katie Gilcott; his great grandchildren, Kennedy and Vivan Gilcott; and his stepgrandchildren, Allie Enquist and Matthew Poulin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
