He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Beland and Irene Beland (Bisson); his daughter Michela Leavitt (Jack); his daughter-in-law Tonya Beland (Wilson); his grandson Robert Owen; and his siblings, Ronald Beland, Armand Beland, Gerard Beland, Lucille Beland, Gisele Bourassa, Juliette Rudnicki and Aliette Couturier.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Beland (Rodrigue); his sons, Robert Beland (Margo), David Beland (Lynn), Mark Beland (Dessie), Brian Beland (Denise) and William Beland; and his brothers, Reginald Beland, Normand Beland and Romeo Beland. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and their spouses, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandson.
