She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerard J. Fortin and Marie Anne Fortin (Pare); and her brothers, Joseph Leo Fortin and Robert Fortin. She is survived by: her children, Neil R. Piper of Augusta, James L. Piper of Augusta and Kimberly M. Piper of Corrina; and her sister Rita M. Busque of Angier, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
