He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hechter and Mildred Hechter; and his sister Judith Hechter. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hechter; his children, Max Hechter (Emily) of Sterling, VA and Rachel Grimm of Albany, NY; his stepdaughter Wendy McEachern (Christopher) of Auburn, ME.; and his grandchildren, Caterina, Mia Hechter, Ethan, Shelbie and Sarah McEachern.
