With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Joseph Bechard (Augusta, Maine), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 24, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Bechard and Mary Jane Bechard (Lessard); his granddaughter Tessa Hanson; and his siblings, Donald Bechard, Carol Ann Dumont and Pauline Bechard.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Bechard; his children, Lisa Bechard (Katherine), Leslie Pierce (Daniel), Lori Desmond (Kelly) and Joshua Bechard; his stepchildren, Dawn Dupuis and Michael Clifford (Lisa); his grandchildren, Andrew Hanson, Khari Lara (Victor), Dasha Hanson, Hayden Desmond and Grace Desmond; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Clifford, Nicole Dupuis and Ryan Dupuis; his great grandchildren, Alexia Hanson, Cole Lara, Isabella Lara, Torren Velez and Adrian Velez; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Chloe Tsipenyuk, Charlie Tsipenyuk and Carmella; and his brothers, Kenneth Bechard (Jeannie) and Norman Bechard.
