It is with sadness that the passing of Robert E. Chaput Sr. of Augusta, Maine is shared. Robert, born on May 25, 1940, passed away on November 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Robert will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Robert by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Robert is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Robert’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Armand Chaput and Ardean Chaput (Curtis); his wife Mildred; his sister Carol Moulton; and his grandson Nathan Couture.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Chaput Jr. (Lori), Roberta Couture (Michael), Ricky Chaput (Stacey) and Rebecca Chaput (Ariel Savage). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Litchfield Plains Cemetery.
