He was predeceased by: his parents, Cynthia E. Beeckel (Anderson) and John Niles Beeckel; and his brother John David Beeckel. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Beeckel (Tondreau); his children, Andrea Avery (Jon Avery), Dr. Stephanie Watson (Jake Watson) and John Beeckel (Allison Beeckel); his grandchildren, Riah, Jase, Jesse Avery, Anna Watson and Aubri Beeckel; his in-laws, Norman and Beatrice Tondreau; his siblings, Barbara Ann Tyndall (Doug Tyndall), Peter Beeckel (Caron Beeckel), Linda Nichols (Nick Nichols), Kurt Beeckel and Kathy Beeckel; and his sisters-in-law, Tamara Beeckel, Tina Partridge (Chuck Partridge) and Marcia Pouliot (Rick Pouliot). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
