With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Cornazzard Lowery of Bangor, Maine, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dennis departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dennis may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dennis leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard F. Lowery Sr. and Goldie Virginia Whitt Lowery; and his siblings, Bernard Forrest Lowery, Jr., Mattie Sue Whitfield, Tina Lowery Westbrooks and Nettie Mae Lowery.
He is survived by: his son Garrett Lowery (Jody); his grandsons, Dillon Lowery (Olivia) and Jordan Lowery (Mackenize); his great grandchild Everly Lowery of Maine; and his brother Emerson Lowery (Barbara).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Strickland and Jones Memorial Funeral Services (1810 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Person Memorial Cemetery (3250 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573).
