With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Floyd Wilson Melvin of Bangor, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Melvin (Rudge) of Bangor Maine; his parents, Milfred Melvin (Nickerson) and Floyd Melvin Sr.; and his siblings, Richard Melvin, Walter Melvin, Earnest "Tinker" Melvin, Robert Melvin, Florence Ross, Ruby Driscoll, Virginia Rice and Carolyn Sadlowski.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Melvin (Sherry) and Pam Lane; his sisters-in-law, Rose Melvin and Polly Rudge; his grandchildren, Julian Melvin, Andy Lane (Victoria), Gary Lane (Nelson), Ben Lane (Meredith Harrington) and Abby Yacubacci (Corino); and his niece Vicki Gonyea (Paul). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
