It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Clifton Eames of Bangor, Maine, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald J. Eames and Frances Eames (Bragg); his sister Grace Hinrichs; his brother-in-law David S. Silsby; and also Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Byther Eames (Furrow); his children, Katherine of Brewer and Jonathan (Lisa Marchese Eames) of Cumberland Center; his grandson Benjamin Eames; his stepgrandsons, Benjamin and Gabriel Marchese; his stepdaughter Yvonne Byther Mumme (Mark) of Portland; and his sister Eleanor Silsby of Manchester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and their children.
Memorial gifts may be made to All Souls Church, 10 Broadway, Bangor, or Bangor Region YMCA, 17 Second Street, Bangor, or to any of the other non-profits with which Clif was associated.
