It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory Merle Bowlby of Bangor, Maine, who passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gregory Merle Bowlby to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas B. Bowlby and Pauline R. Bowlby. He is survived by: his wife Linda Rudge Bowlby; his children, Gregory, Michael Bowlby (Kimberly Bowlby), Thomas Bowlby, Jackson Upchurch and Lilah Upchurch; his stepson Lee Childers; and his siblings, Susan MacLennan (Scot MacLennan), Jeff Bowlby (Liz Bowlby), Karen Bowlby (Donna Burke) and Scott Bowlby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to see contributions made to the South Platte Park Fund to be used to continue a reforestation plan in the cottonwood forest that Greg was helping with.
