We announce the death of Helen Alfreda Davis (Bangor, Maine), who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 94. Helen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Helen will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Helen will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Helen’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Severance and Annie Severance (Linscott); her significant others, Arthur and Goldia Davis of Des Moines; and her husband Donald Wincey Davis.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott D. Davis, Richard T. Davis (Katherine) and Robert A. Davis (Theresa); and her grandchildren, Erin Davis, Kendra Bird, Kerri Davis, Brandon Davis and Oriana Blakely. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (1048 State St, Bangor, ME 04401).
