He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Fred" Spencer and Josephine Spencer (Thompson); his wife Sondra J. Spencer (McKusick); his siblings, Leonard Spencer, Kenneth Spencer, Ellen Boudreau, Christine Seger, Shirley Kepple, Marjorie Tripp, Loretta Spencer and Elizabeth "Libby" Spencer; and his son-in-law Steven J. Leighton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Conery (Ed), Lynn Owen (Brad) and Gayle Craig (Wayne); his grandchildren, Sandi Emmons Stahl, Tyler Emmons, Chad Tracy, Jason Leighton and Christopher "Cal" Leighton; his great grandchildren, Kamrynn, Ashlynn, Sondra Mae, Layne, Lexi, Jaslynn, Kayden, Spencer, Carson, Chase and Paislee; and his sisters, Mary Worcester, Priscilla Candellari and Sharon Clark. He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
