We are sad to announce that, on January 28, 2026, at the age of 89, Jack N. Meltzer MD of Bangor, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Shirley Katz; and his parents, Rose Meltzer and Joseph Meltzer. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Meltzer; his children, Judy Goldman (Josh) and Marc Meltzer (Amy); his stepchildren, Michael (Katrina), Tony (Miranda) and Maria Lees; and his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Yosef, Rachel, Shoshana, Spencer, Kenna, Peter, Adeline, Nathaniel, Henry, Charlie and Sophia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to the Marblehead Council on Aging.
