Janice M. Smith Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Janice M. Smith in Bangor, Maine is shared. Janice, born on January 28, 1936, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Gustav and Gertrude Olive Hokanson (Marsh); her husband Clifton Raymond Smith; her brother Ralph Hokanson; and her godson Brendan O'Leary.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Smith (Kathy) of Maryland, Sherry Rogers of Lamoine, Kristy Hodkiewicz (John) of Lamoine and Brian Smith (Camie) of New Hampshire; and her siblings, Lois Young (Alan) and Russell Hokanson (Barbara). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Jordan-Fernald (113 Franklin St, Ellsworth, ME 04605).
