He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James Mackie and Catherine Mackie (Fritts); his wife Betsy (Freese); and his siblings-in-law, Martha Shattuck (Tom), Amy Estabrook (Tim) and Andrew Freese (Rosemary). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
