She was predeceased by : her parents, George E. Mugnai and Edith M. Mugnai (Mallar); her husband Donald A. Sawyer; her stepson Donald L. Sawyer; her sister Elsie Mugnai Preston Johnson; and her brother-in-law Joseph Brettagna.

She is survived by : her siblings, John M. Mugnai (Pamela) of Orrington and Helen Brettagna of Orange, CT; her stepchildren, Ricky Sawyer (Denise) of Orrington, Timothy Sawyer of Bangor, Pamela Sawyer of Bangor and Lisa Sawyer of Lubec; and her nieces and nephews, Michele Freeman (Mugnai), Justin Mugnai, Kristina Mugnai-Price and Joan Gervasio (Gerry) of Connecticut.
