He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Dawson and Laila Dawson (Henderson); and his brother Leigh. He is survived by : his sister Lynn (David Gates); his nieces, Kylie (Derek Campbell), Katie Gates and Karen Gates; his nephew Kody Gates; his great-niece Samantha Campbell; and his great-nephew Thomas Campbell.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Dunn Funeral Home (11 Park St, Houlton, ME 04730).
