Lois A. Spellman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois A. Spellman of Bangor, Maine, who passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John H. "Hacko" Spellman; her parents, Andrew E. Higgins and Kathryn A. Higgins (Givren); her son John D. Spellman; her siblings, Douglas Higgins and Margaret McGinley; and her grandsons, Christopher and Jackson.
She is survived by: her sister Judith Smith (Higgins) of Bangor; her children, Kathryn J. Vance (Peter) of Rock Hill, SC, James K. Spellman of Masardis, Jacqulyn L. Williams (Peter) of Bangor and Christine A. Gellerson of Bangor; and her grandchildren, Amy Hakola of Orono, Anna Gellerson of Bangor, Kathryn Wilcox (Spearing) of Bangor, Sarah Nida (John) of New Orleans, LA., Michael Vance of Albany, NY., Amanda Clough (Vance) of Rock Hill, SC and Jonathan Martin of Bangor. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kiley & Foley Funeral Service (299 Union St, Bangor, ME 04401). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Johns Catholic Church (207 York St, Bangor, ME 04401).
