She was predeceased by: her son Ray Matthew Sockabasin; her grandparents, Dennis, Lucy Melanson and Lee Phelps; her aunt Donna Bailey; and her uncles, Bill "Hank" Bailey and Chris Thornton.
She is survived by: her parents, Alvah Phelps of Princeton and Sandra Melanson (Ray Sockabasin) of Indian Township; her daughter Samantha Phelps of Baileyville; her granddaughter Raye Sockabasin of Indian Township; her grandmother Margaret Phelps of Princeton; her siblings, Amanda Newman of Princeton, Jason Phelps (Melissa) of Princeton and Nathan Phelps (Jessica Moreside) of Baileyville; and her close friends, Wayne Jipson of Lambert Lake, Jody and Kim Dyer of Lambert Lake. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
