He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Nelligan and Gertrude M. Nelligan (Frenette); his wife Martha Jane "Janie" Nelligan (Perry); and his siblings, William, Robert and Barbara.
He is survived by: his daughter Pam Crate (Jeff) of Gardiner; his grandchildren, Paul Crate (Laura) of Flower Mound, Zachary Crate (Jackie) of Waterville and Molly Ray (Zachery) of Greene, Maine; and his great grandchildren, Zoe, Rhema, Braden, Calvin, Maeve and Miles. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
