He was predeceased by : his father Lee H. Gardner; his son Christopher Gardner of Veazie; and his siblings, Linda, Sara, Lee Jr., John, Dwight, Warren, Rodney and Llewellyn.

He is survived by : his children, Bill Jr. of Brewer, Jill and Katie Gardner of Bangor; his siblings, Phyllis (Frank) of Brewer, Lucinda (Mike) of Bangor, Roy of Allagash, Bryden of Bangor and Tom (Joyce) of East Corinth; and his former life partners, Margaret of Bangor, Carolyn of Bangor and Joyce of Brewer.
