With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Louise Friend of Bath, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jane departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Jane may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Jane leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Duffy (Candage) and Hobart Duffy; her brother Walter; and her husband Donald Friend. She is survived by: her children, Mark Friend (Connie) of Hebron, CT and Shelly Holmquist (Carl) of Gray, ME; and her grandchildren, Andrew Friend (Danielle), Carolyn Perreault (John Paul), Tyler Holmquist and Caitlin Holmquist. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren.
