We bid farewell to Jane Elizabeth (Otoole) Hathaway of Bath, Maine, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 23, 2025 at the age of 68. Jane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Jane shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jane farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Patterson and Alverna Patterson; and her former husband Austin O'Toole. She is survived by: her husband Mark Hathaway of Bath; her stepdaughter Molly Hanley (Nate) of Dresden; her granddaughter Isla Hanley; and her siblings, Linda Wood (Joe) of Anderson and Steve Patterson of Toano, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kennebec Tavern & Restaurant (119 Commercial St, Bath, ME 04530).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, ME or the Midcoast Humane Society of Brunswick, ME.
