He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Hamilton (Perry) and Jay G. Hamilton Jr.; and his brothers, Ronald, Wayne and Paul.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Scot Hanning and Jody Hallman; his children, Shelly Hamilton and Jay G. Hamilton IV; and his siblings, Carol Durgin, Martha Hamilton, Edward Hamilton and Randall Hamilton. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
