He was predeceased by : his parents, Royce E. Howes Sr. and Helen F. Howes (Jaquith); and his siblings, Charles Howes, Dorothy Howes, Della Goodnow (Howes) and Marion Caron.
He is survived by : his wife Margaret Jerolyn "Jerry" (Harris); his children, Melissa "Missy" Herrick (Daniel Herrick) of Englewood and James "Jim" Howes (Tamara); his grandchildren, Megan Howes of New London, NH and Andrew Howes of Hermon; and his brothers, Frank Howes, Robert Howes and William Howes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers Royce would have been honored to have donations made to American Cancer Society for family members and friends who have struggled or are currently struggling with cancer.
