She was predeceased by: her parents, Elie R. Duguay and Alice A. Duguay (Nadeau); and her brother Jeffrey Duguay. She is survived by: her siblings, Patricia Richard (Charles) of Fort Kent, Denise Pineau (Raymond) of Jay and Peter Duguay of Livermore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Claire was an angel on Earth. She deeply cared about her students and ensured they had the best education possible. I know because my daughter Alana was in her Fifth-Grade class. Her love of Science and History stems from the dedication and time Claire spent on each subject. She was also a wonderful and caring friend. We had so much fun traveling to Great Britain. The last time I saw her was when I had my grandson Ryder. She held him and kissed the back of his neck. I will treasure that moment.”
