He was predeceased by: his parents, Teresa DePeter (Tucci) and Joseph DePeter; his son Joseph F. DePeter, Jr.; his significant other Nancy Mathieu; and his sisters, Mary Davis, Antonette Knox and Gloria Hammond.
He is survived by: his son Thomas R. DePeter; his daughter-in-law Renee Roy-DePeter; his granddaughters, Marie DePeter and Emilia DePeter; and his sisters, Josephine Mayberry, Esther Fenlason and Deborah F. Mahoney. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
