He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard and Evelyn Sherwindt (Simon); his wife Barbara; his sons-in-law, Dale and Sam; his grandchildren, Carl David, Renee and Dean; and his grandson-in-law Cameron.
He is survived by: his sisters, Maxine and Lorraine Sherwindt of New York; his daughters, Martha Dotson of West Virginia and Ruth Weeks (Alton) of Maine; and his grandchildren, Ginger Steele (Rickey) of North Carolina, Julie Dotson of West Virginia, Ricky Dotson of West Virginia, Sammy Dotson (Annette) of West Virginia, Stacey Price of Maine and Charity Mayhew (Raymond) of Maine. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren in the South and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the King's Grove Cemetery East Ridge. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
