Gloria Violet left this world on July 20, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Alberton Cook and Nellie Cook; her brothers, Earl and George Cook; her husband Clyde Astbury; her son Daniel Astbury; her granddaughter Jessica Grindle; and her great grandchild Jasmine Grindle.
She is survived by: her children, Marie Pearson, Bill, Sharon Grindle, John, Donna Deleo, Ellsworth and Violet Hughes; her grandchildren, Erica Deleo, Ellsworth, Sarah Hughes, Nate Irwin of Barrington, NH, Benjamin Hughes and Jordan Larrabee; her great grandchildren, Cody Sweet, River Pearson, Fern Parent and Bailey Hughes; and her sister-in-law Ruth Cook.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes (215 Main St, Ellsworth, ME 04605). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bucksport Church of God (94 Race Course Rd, Bucksport, ME 04416).
