It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra L. Barter of Boothbay Harbor, Maine, who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Sandra leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Sandra may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Pinkham and Hazel Pinkham (Clifford); her husband Neil W. Barter; and her son-in-law Lawrence R. Bennett. She is survived by: her son Richard; her daughter-in-law Tammy Barter of Friendship; her children, Mark Barter of Boothbay, Brenda Bennett of Boothbay Harbor and Tracey; and her son-in-law Troy Osgood of Bristol. She is also survived by many sisters, brothers, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
