We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2025, at the age of 76, Sereno T. BrownJr. (Boothbay, Maine) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Sereno may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Cyndie Brown (Perkins) of Boothbay; his parents, Sereno Tasker Sr. and Frances Brown (Harris); his sons, Sereno Robert (Abbigail) and Matthew Henry (Chelsea) of Portland; and his sisters, Frances Bredeau and Eldora Bredeau. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Charles E Sherman American Legion Post #36 Hall (25 Industrial Pk Rd, Boothbay, ME 04537).
In lieu of flowers, a charitable fund is being established to support individuals in the region with a demonstrable living need and is placed under the guidance of Boothbay Region Christian Fellowship in Sereno's name. Donations can be made payable to the fellowship, with memo line Sereno's.
