We announce the death of Janet Elaine Tourigny of Brewer, Maine, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 96. Janet will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William W Gagnon and Helen R Gagnon (Murray); her husband Joe; and her siblings, Anne, Kate and Bill.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Taylor (Dennis Waid) of Durham, ME, Joe Jr. (Marjorie) of Dixmont, ME and Robert (Ellen) of Manchester, NH.; and her grandchildren, Claire of Arlington, VA and Louis of Orono, ME. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul the Apostle Parish (217 York St, Bangor, ME 04401).
