She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sherley Young and Cora Young (Johnson); her husband John "Pete" Holyoke; and her children, Donald Holyoke (Bonnie), Robin Holyoke, Kelly Fitzpatrick (Greg) and Mark Holyoke (Jamie). She was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, several special nieces and nephews, and many many friends.

She was the longest standing member of the Dedham Congregational Church and helped them over the years with her donations to the annual craft fair.
