Nilda Pettingale Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nilda Pettingale of Brewer, Maine, who passed away on November 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isidore Marty and Rose Marty (Riveria); her husband Rev. James Pettingale; and her siblings, Manuel Marty, Carmen Troise, Hilda Tew, Lydia Marty, Gloria Ryan, Frederick Marty and Robert Marty.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Bishop (Anthony) of Ellsworth, Matthew Pettingale (Sylvia) of Belize, April Kramer of California, Andrew Pettingale of Virginia and James Pettingale Jr. (Heather) of Howland; and her grandchildren, Emma Bishop, Aliyah Bishop, Rebekah Pettingale, Nathaniel Pettingale, Isaac Pettingale and Zoe Pettingale. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home (191 Hartland Ave, Pittsfield, ME 04967).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to a missions fund of one's choice, in Nilda's' memory.
