We announce the death of Bruce Anderson Chalmers (Bridgton, Maine), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 88. Bruce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Chalmers and Margaret Chalmers (Marney); and his sister Beth Cossey. He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his children, Anne Irene, James, Thomas, Andrew, Matthew, Debra A. (Andrew), Tanya (Matthew), Keith Fleming (Anne) and Katelyn (Jim); his grandchildren, Ethan Chalmers, Ryan, Lindsay Chalmers, Madeleine, Cora, Lillian Fleming, Brady and BrittaLouise Chalmers; his brother Bill; and his sister-in-law Beverly.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Bridgton, UCC (33 S High St, Bridgton, ME 04009).
Contributions in Bruce's memory may be made to the Bridgton Historical Society or the First Congregational Church of Bridgton.
