We are sad to announce that, on November 28, 2025, at the age of 77, Russell Newton Banton of Brunswick, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce and Geraldine Banton (Miller). He is survived by: his wife MaryEllen "Mel" Banton of Brunswick; his children, Brian of Topsham, ME, Benjamin of Brunswick, ME and Robyn of Camarillo, CA; his children-in-law, Nadia Celis and Tonmoy Mukherjee; and his grandchildren, Ranger, Sebastian, Nicolas, Aditya, Ellie and Arun.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program or the Maine Veterans Home Resident Activities Fund in memory of Russ.
