In the sacred silence of farewell, Douglas is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Douglas' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Gross and Virginia Gross (Pickering); his brother Hillard; his uncle Phil; and his son Luke.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gross (Toole) of Bucksport; his children, Michelle Gross (Wayne Bergey) of Rockland, Mickey Gross (Stacie) of Bucksport and Melissa Gross of Augusta; and his grandchildren, Bryce Emerson (Jonathan) of Penobscot, Kylie Farnham of Dresden, Hunter Ellis Gross of Bucksport and Shelby Gross of Bucksport. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins; and many lifelong friends.
