He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Garriott and Lois Garriott (Jones); his former wife Betty Jane Garriott (Bishop); his wife Rena Sherlock Garriott (Scribner); and his siblings, Beverly Trissel, Lorna Hudson and Darrell Garriott.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Sermersheim (John) of Perry, ME, Jerald Garriott (Monica) of North Wildwood, NJ and Robin Bouchard (John) of Robbinston, ME; his grandchildren, Jessica Welsh of Robbinston, Amanda Sermersheim (Ralph Pineo) of East Machias, J. W. Garriott of Cape May, NJ, Chris Garriott (Gina) of Pitman, NJ and Kayla Ledvina (Zach) of Highlands Ranch, CO; his great grandchildren, Leilani, Violet, Benjamin and Brooks; and his stepchildren, David Sherlock (Elizabeth) of Gray, ME, Linda Sherlock of Groveland, MA and Stephen Sherlock (Terry) of Westfield, NB. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
