He was predeceased by: his mother Faye Nicholas Sr. (Russell); his grandsons, Paxton, Hunter Nicholas and Anthony Sockabasin; and his sister Margaret "Maggie" Nicholas.
He is survived by: his father Carl Nicholas Sr.; his wife Maria Nicholas (Sockabasin); his children, Arthur (Leilani Lawless), Lisa, Leslie II (Jewel), Naomi (Isiah Roscoe), Nick Nicholas, Lindsey Berube, Walter, Diora and Haven Sockabasin; his uncle Robert Russell (Filomena); his aunt Grace Haskell (Larry); his siblings, Lisa Sockabasin, Dolores Acheson (Gordon), Carla Gillespie (Bill), Alex Nicholas (Regina), Carl Nicholas Jr. (Brenda) and Chief William Nicholas (Lucy); his parents-in-law, Sylvia Sockabasin (Nancy Polches) and Charles Polches; and his cousins, Marie Harnois (Stanley), Eva, Alice, Chuck and Calvin Nicholas III.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Indian Township Community Center & Parish Hall. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ann Church.
Leslie's contributions to his community were boundless.
