It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Delia Trott (Calais, Maine), who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxwell Barnes and Angela Barnes (Francis); her husband Fred Trott Sr.; her sons, John, Edward, Fred Jr. and Maxwell Trott; her grandson Rodney Cyr; and her brothers, Maxwell "Chick" Barnes and William Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Trott (Elizabeth) and Nancy Trott (Loring Totman); her grandchildren, Holly Brown, Nichole Dearth, Sonja Trott, Matthew Trott and Allison Newland; her great grandchildren, Joel White, Morgan and Kameron Dearth; her siblings, Sam, James, Edward, Gerald Barnes, Tony LaCoute, Sylvia Corson, Sandra Murphy and Frances LaCoute; and her friend Eva "Tootie" Benner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mays Funeral Home (26 Church St, Calais, ME 04619). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Trott Cemetery.
