He was predeceased by: his parents, Veronica J. Deptula and William P. Deptula; his sons, David W. and Stephen W. Deptula; and his grandson Jay H. Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Claire Ackerman; his children, Julie, Kathleen D. and Gregory Deptula (Julie); his grandchildren, Megan, Andrew (Mariya), Joseph, Emily Becica, Stephanie Wozny Veronica (Tim), Matthew Deptula and Eric Deptula (Julia); his great grandchildren, Ana, Damir, Carter, Graham and Eden Kate; and his brother Richard Deptula.
