It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Dougherty Battistus of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Dougherty and Marie Dougherty. She is survived by : her husband Dennis; her siblings, Tim Dougherty (Jill), Jay Dougherty (Karen) and Patricia Georges (Stephen); her stepsons, Randy and Brian Battistus; and her aunt Maureen Durr. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dancy Memorial (9 Smull Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Aloysius Church (219 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006). A burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at the Prospect Hill Cemetery (326 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell, NJ 07006).
